Purifying the Thought Stream for a More Harmonious Life
Thoughts are like a stream of consciousness that can nourish and enrich one’s life—or pollute it with attitudes, emotions and fears that cloud the joy of living. However, when you sing or chant HU, an ancient sacred prayer song, this can help you tune into a higher point of view. Chanting HU keeps the stream of consciousness pure.
In the e-booklet HU: Your Key to Spiritual Living, Sri Harold Klemp, the spiritual leader of Eckankar, the path of spiritual freedom, states that “Chanting or singing HU is like taking a spiritual deep breath and connecting with the life force itself. Healing, life-affirming, purifying and creative, HU is a carrier of love between God and Soul.”
When chanted daily for 10 to 15 minutes, HU can cleanse and refresh the thought stream to bring relief from many of life’s tensions. As Klemp advises, “You might try experimenting with it when you face a challenging situation or want to open yourself to a more loving attitude.” HU: A Love Song to God is a fascinating sixty-minute recording enlivened by humorous and profound stories, spiritual exercises for dreams and Soul Travel, and the compassionate wisdom of the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master, Sri Harold Klemp.
